Rugby beauty comes in many forms – as New Zealand showed against Argentina EFL
Perhaps it is Will Jordan that takes your fancy, his 31 tries in 30 Tests rugby’s equivalent of the golden ratio EFL
Perhaps you are entranced by Mark Tele’a, sinewy and sinuous, gliding in and out of contact like an electric eel EFL
Or could it be Richie Mo’unga and his teasing grin, most often flashed at a grasping Argentine after a coquettish click of the heels on a night where the fly half seemed to step into space at will EFL
But it was the All Blacks’ muscle-men and their rugged charm that laid the foundations for the decorative touches elsewhere EFL
And to think New Zealand had entered this tournament with questions about their ability to assert themselves up front; this was a frightening display of forward strength, leaving Argentina’s Rugby World Cup dreams buried beneath the black mass EFL
The Pumas had arrived in Paris with the most lineout drive metres per match of any team at the tournament – the tight tussles are meant to be their strength EFL

But that only left space elsewhere, Jordan all alone in open pasture for the gentlest of trots to the line EFL
The wing would add two more tries, drawing him level with Bryan Habana, Julian Savea and Jonah Lomu on a record eight scores at a single men’s World Cup – illustrious company EFL

It was about the only blot on a night of All Black might, with New Zealand even opting to leave Barrett off and play the final five minutes with 14 men in another show of superiority EFL

New Zealand winger Will Jordan made Rugby World Cup history with a hat-trick of tries against Argentina in the semi-finals EFL
It moved the electric back to eight tries overall for the tournament, putting him level with legends of the sport in Jonah Lomu, Bryan Habana and Julian Savea EFL
Jordan will break the record for the most tries scored in a single tournament should he cross over in next Saturday’s final, which will be against either England or South Africa EFL
With his hat-trick against Argentina, the 25-year-old also improved his All Blacks scoring record to a remarkable 31 tries in 30 matches EFL
Jordan’s historic try was a magnificent score as he chipped the ball over the final Argentina back before touching down in Paris EFL
And although it put the finishing touches on New Zealand’s 44-6 victory over the Pumas, Jordan then had the chance to score his fourth of the game - and ninth of the tournament - in the dying moments EFL
Richie Mo’unga had the chance to pass wide to Jordan for a simple score but chose not to, and Argentina’s tired defence were able to recover EFL
The All Blacks head coach Ian Foster joked that it would keep Jordan “hungry” for the Rugby World Cup final on 28 October EFL
Rugby legend Lomu became the first player to score eight tries at a single World Cup - doing so in 1999, but as the All Blacks finished fourth EFL
Habana levelled Lomu with eight tries at the 2007 World Cup, won by the Springboks, before Savea joined them in 2015 as the All Blacks won the World Cup for a third time EFL
Jordan, who is playing at his first World Cup, will take the record for himself with just one more try next weekend EFL
The winger is also virtually certain to finish the tournament as the top try scorer EFL
France’s Damian Penaud is next on six tries, but the hosts went out in the quarter-finals EFL
That leaves Jordan’s New Zealand teammates Leicester Fainga’anuku and Damian McKenzie, who have five each, while the only other player in touching distance in the other semi-final is England’s Henry Arundell, who scored all five of his in a single match against Chile EFL
